Modern-day architecture holds glass in a very high esteem, but window panes are important
energy-consumers. In summer windows allow too much heat to enter, forcing cooling systems to work harder, and often even go in overdrive.
In winter a lot of heat usually goes lost through the window panes.
So it comes down to finding a sun blocking, insulating and energy-saving solution that pays off the whole year long.

Luxasolar are spectrally selective window films with a high solar heat reflection and a low warmth absorption. In summer the heat is kept outside, which generates temperature drops up to 10°c.
As the cooling system has to operate considerably less, this leads to savings up to 25%.
In winter time the foil reflects the interior heat, that usually goes lost through large window panes, back into the room, and so savings on fuel costs of up to 30% can be achieved. The thermal insulation is considerably improved: after the installation of Luxasolar  the 5,8 W/m²K U value a of single pane glazing gets improved to 2,5 W/m² and the 2,9 W/m²K of double pane glazing gets improved to
1,6 W/m²K.
The visible light is still transmitted, so no additional lighting is needed. And due to the very low
heat absorption, Luxasolar can be installed on every type of glazing.
