Window films: Sputtering

Sputtering is an innovative technology as several layers of different metals (such as silver, titanium, stainless steel...)are imbedded into the polyester film. Luxasolar® consists of 5 metal layers.

The benefits of sputtering are that different metals can be used. Different metals are chosen to substract specific bands of radiation from the solar spectrum (IR, UV....).

This results in highly reflective window films with very little mirror effect and heat absorption.

Luxasolar® sputtered window films have excellent heat control properties in combination with a superior optical clarity.
